Jason Snell Receives the Larry F. York Mentoring Award

Snell Law is proud to announce that Jason Snell has been selected as the Spring 2026 recipient of the Larry F. York Mentoring Award, presented by the Austin Bar Association and the Austin Young Lawyers Association.

The Larry F. York Mentoring Award recognizes an Austin-area lawyer or judge who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to mentoring younger attorneys and strengthening the legal profession through leadership, professionalism, and service.

The award honors the legacy of Larry York, a respected Travis County attorney remembered for encouraging generations of lawyers to pursue professional excellence with integrity, grace, and humor. Past recipients include some of the Austin legal community’s most admired lawyers and judges, making this recognition especially meaningful.

Jason is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has spent nearly three decades representing businesses and individuals in complex litigation matters. Since founding Snell Law in 2007, he has built a reputation not only as a trial lawyer, but also as a trusted mentor and advocate for young attorneys beginning their careers in Austin.

Throughout his career, Jason has remained committed to helping younger lawyers develop practical courtroom skills, professional judgment, and meaningful relationships within the legal community. He has long believed that mentorship is one of the profession’s greatest responsibilities — and one of its most lasting contributions.

“I’m deeply honored to receive this award,” Jason said. “Austin’s legal community is built on lawyers who generously invest in one another, and I’ve been fortunate to learn from outstanding mentors throughout my career. I’m grateful for the opportunity to help support the next generation of lawyers in our community.”

Please join us in congratulating Jason on this well-deserved recognition.
